About Us
** QUICK UPDATE **
April 15, 2022
Due to lack of volunteers and low membership numbers – we are temporarily halting most activities with the exception of soccer and community garage sale. We are collecting names of people interested in volunteering to form a new ALCA Board. See our other post for information, and use the Contact Us form if you’d like to volunteer to become a board member. We need to fill very specific roles.
OUR CHALLENGE AND HOW YOU CAN HELP: PURCHASE THE Annual $25 MEMBERSHIP! VOLUNTEER!
We do not have a physical location nor the funds for permanent community signage, so many residents do not know about the Community Association. Our main source of communication is through social media and this website. If you found this site, please encourage your neighbours to check us out! Parker the Bear and the rest of the ALCA look forward to meeting you.
The Arbour Lake Community Association is a non-profit organization of volunteers who work to enhance the neighbourhood outside of the lake boundary. We are not associated with the lake or the hall in any way, and we do not receive any portion of the Annual Lake dues. We have no guaranteed funding so your voluntary Community Association Membership purchases are vital to our survival.
OUR VISION: The Arbour Lake Community Association supports a welcoming home for our diverse community.
OUR MISSION: To collaborate with the community to provide an environment that encourages a sense of belonging through communication, activities and programming.
WHAT’S PLANNED FOR 2023:
- Outdoor soccer – Spring
- *NEW* Implement a Neighbourhood Crime Watch system
- Community Clean-Up – Volunteers required
- Parade of Garage Sales – Saturday, June 3
